CourseChipsPrivacy Policy
CourseChips is an iOS app developed by QuantumElm Holdings Inc. In one sentence: the app doesn't collect any data; we only get your email address if you choose to write to us. Here is how the app and this website actually handle data.
Your course data stays on your phone
The courses, seats, headcounts, bids and school rules you enter are stored only on your iPhone. There's no account and no server of ours; every calculation runs on your phone.
Only when you tap Share yourself does the app hand the content you chose to the app you pick (such as Messages or Notes). From there, that app's own terms apply.
We don't collect any data
The app has no analytics, ads or tracking, and uses no third-party SDKs. We don't collect, sell or share your personal data, and we never use it to track you across other apps or websites.
The only connection the app makes itself is to Apple's in-app purchase service, to show the price, buy, restore and confirm Pro. Tapping Support & Contact or Full Privacy Policy in the app leaves the app and opens this website in your browser (see “This website” below).
If you turn on “Share With App Developers” under Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements on your iPhone, Apple provides developers with crash reports and usage statistics that don't identify you. Apple collects and handles this, and you can turn it off in the same place at any time.
Payments are handled entirely by Apple
Pro is purchased through Apple's in-app purchase. Your payment method, Apple Account and purchase history are handled by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy; we never see them. The app only checks the purchase record signed by Apple, on your phone, to decide whether to unlock Pro.
About purchases, all we receive from Apple is sales statistics that don't identify you.
Deleted means deleted
When you delete a plan or the app, the data is removed from your phone, and we keep no copies. Your iCloud or computer backup includes the app's data; Apple or your computer keeps that backup, so it comes along when you restore to a new phone.
When you email us
If you write to support@coursechips.app, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply to you and resolve your question, never for anything else, and we don't pass them to anyone.
Mail is forwarded by Cloudflare and stored in the email service we use, whose servers may be outside Taiwan. We keep our correspondence for up to 2 years after your question is resolved, so we can follow up on the same issue. You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the correspondence we hold.
This website
coursechips.app is a static website hosted by Cloudflare. We set no cookies ourselves and use no analytics or advertising tools; if Cloudflare detects an attack, it may set a strictly technical cookie that isn't used for tracking. To deliver pages and protect against attacks, Cloudflare processes the technical data a connection needs, such as your IP address, under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Children
We don't collect anyone's data, so we don't collect children's personal data either.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. If the app ever moves away from collecting no data, we'll update this policy first and say so in the app's release notes.
